Dear Parishioners,
If you read this sheet you might be considering changing the way you support our local parish of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Your contributions are so important to the strength and vitality of our parish church. Your contributions go towards all our ministries, the priest, the staff and the many bills we have to pay. We receive no other assistance from church or government and therefore what you give is what we have, no more, no less. Automatic Withdrawal is convenient for you. No longer do you have to remember your envelope each week or scramble for cash as the collection plate passes.
Automatic Withdrawal also helps our parish. At different points in the year, especially in the summer months, the church goes through dry spells and we find ourselves short on cash. This system offers the most stable and predictable path for budgeting and spending. By choosing this form of giving you allow us to budget more precisely and you remove much of the anxiety we have when paying our monthly bills.
Automatic Withdrawal also allows you the ease of conscience to know that when circumstances prevent you from attending Mass you can still “give to God what is God’s”. We ask that you consider us as an important monthly expenditure alongside such regular monthly expenses like phone, hydro or cable. It is not uncommon to donate $50 to $100 a month. This is based on what one would give weekly and multiplied by four or five. (A reminder to those who put cash into the collection, that you can receive a receipt for income tax purposes IF you donate by parish envelope or automatic withdrawal.)
In order to take advantage of this exceptionally efficient and timesaving initiative you are asked to please complete the registration form and drop it off in the Parish Office. Please be assured that we are extremely aware of the confidential nature of these documents and that we will be extremely vigilant to ensure complete security at all times.
Please know that your financial support of God’s ministry at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish is very much appreciated. The money we give is one way to give back to God for the gifts we have received. May God bless you for your generosity!
